Retired from the Omaha (NE) Police Dept. at the rank of Lt. after 30 years of service. Bob served as commander of the OPD Emergency Response Unit, Bomb Response Team and chaired the contingency committee. In 1997, Bob wrote, organized, and implemented the Patrol Rifle Program for the Omaha Police Department and The National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA). Bob is the High-Risk Patrol section chair for the NTOA. He also instructs Patrol Rifle Instructor Certification, Patrol First Responder, Patrol Counter Ambush, sub machinegun Instructor Certification, and Patrol Response to Active Shooter Certification. For the past 20 years, Bob has written the "Countermeasures" column in the NTOA's Tactical Edge.
